History
Guardians of a legacy that remains alive.
Our story begins long before we existed as a brand. The land where Finca La Torre stands today was once part of Singilia Barba, a Roman city located to the northwest of Antequera. Visible remains from that past still remain—columns and fragments of the ancient torcularium, the press where olive oil was made—reminding us that this place has breathed olive and agricultural wisdom for over two thousand years.
Centuries later, during the Nasrid period, the Moors built the watchtower on Cerro del Cuchillo, which gave the estate its name. That watchtower, a symbol of vigilance and protection, remains the emblem of our identity.
The modern era of Finca La Torre began in 1998, when the estate adopted the name Finca La Reja S.L. and took its first steps toward organic and biodynamic farming. In 2010, under the leadership of Agrifutura Holding AG, a profound technical and human transformation was undertaken with a clear purpose: to produce one of the best extra virgin olive oils in the world.
Since then, the story has been written campaign after campaign. In 2014, the expansion of the mill was completed, the commercial department was created, and Finca La Torre began its international expansion. Today, we export our oil to more than 25 countries, keeping intact the spirit of those who once started cultivating these lands: combining ancestral knowledge with contemporary innovation in every drop of EVOO.
